On March 10 André leaves for Melbourne where he will be exhibiting DALA FLAT MUSIC's Speak with Music installation at the Next Wave Alternative Arts Festival, and undertaking a promotional tour of Oz.

The festival, which usually takes place mid-year, has been shifted to March this year to coincide with the Commonwealth Games which are also taking place in Australia. It takes place from 15 March to 2 April, and this year celebrates its 21st anniversary with the theme Empire Games. For more on Next Wave, check out www.nextwave.org.au

And it is with this theme in mind that artists were asked to submit proposals for work to be showcased in the "Container Village" at the festival.

And it was pretty easy to adapt Speak with Music to fit the theme. André had been toying with the idea of a multimedia installation for a while - one that specifically placed emphasis on the DJ as a musician. And being accepted for the Containers Project provide the firecracker under the arse that made this idea a reality. In a nutshell, Speak with Music is an installation of photography by a varied group of people, unknown to the DJ, and the music he has set to their photograph.
